Tree City USA 2021 Designation

The Arbor Day Foundation has recognized New Salem as a Tree City USA for 2021 for its commitment to effective urban forest management. New Salem has received this recognition for six years, thanks to the commitment of the Tree Committee in recognizing the value and importance that trees hold for our future. The Arbor Day Foundation has established several criteria for a city or town to be recognized as a Tree City USA, which the Tree Committee has achieved for New Salem.
